Tell Your Story
Before the world ground to a halt with Covid restrictions; our venue provided the perfect backdrop for the launch of the latest edition of About The Town Magazine. An invited audience of local businesses, friends and family where treated to nibbles and champagne as About The Town’s Director; Bev Roberts outlined her plans for the publication.
“The coffee shop was perfect for me to engage with those who have helped make the magazine happen. As a writer, the fact that we where surrounded by books was an added bonus. It’s definitely something we would like to continue to use in the future and a stylish new edition to the community of Upholland” Bev Roberts
The tangible link of the written word seemed to provide great harmony between the two organisations and underlined the commitment of both to provide value to people across the town. Upholland has been deprived of a good coffee shop for too long; but it seems that the culture is changing with Shakespeare’s joining Lily’s in the heart of the community, providing some long overdue choices for local people.
This once tired old venue, with council issue red carpets and customary damp patches was beginning to offer much more than outdated books and the option to use a printer, it was becoming a vibrant place for people to collaborate, communicate and celebrate the end of mediocrity.
We hope that this will be the first or many events like this, where people will see Shakespeare’s Coffee Shop as the perfect platform to tell their story.
